First win

The Abbotsford Angels AAA Mosquito team opened up the season and the Boulanger Tournament in Cloverdale with a 12-3 victory over Richmond. The rematch of the Gold Medal Game from the 2011 A Provincials started slow, with some good defense from both teams. The Angels looked nervous at the plate, and struggled to generate any offense until later in the game, when the bats came alive. Tyler Nelson was selected player of the game, with some good hits and excellent play at shortstop. Gage Concalves made his debut special with a 2-run homer that cleared the fence in centre. Strong pitching was delivered by Kole Jessamine, Riley Hall, Conall Sexton and Logan McDonald. Next up is Victoria at 4:00 on Saturday.
